I attended The Feast Ortigas Galleria-Monday and I realized how much blessing in disguise to break up and part ways with a partner who doesn't see your worth.
Yes, I maybe am lonely right now but it seems much lonelier to be with someone who makes you feel you're not enough, that you aren't lovable, that you're just a piece of trash; who makes you feel so insecure about yourself, that you're not worth loving for.
It is better, I tell you, to remain single than be with the wrong person forever.
Do not settle for less. Do not let go of your values. Fall in love, not with someone who only sees your physical beauty but be with someone who sees the charm within your body, the gloriousness beyond what the eyes can see, the goodness in your life, the genuineness of your soul, and the kindness in your heart.
Many times, we create our problems, and one of those is being in a hurry. Let your wounds heal. Wait for the right timing. And while waiting, make a wish list. Dream big. Set standards. There is nothing wrong with leveraging and being meticulous in choosing your life partner. Don't settle just because you're lonely.
While you wait, work on yourself. Work hard! Prioritize yourself! Do things you love. Look for your passion/s and aspirations. Know yourself better. Be in love with yourself and your life. Learn that while you're searching for the right partner, be the right partner first.
While you wait, enjoy the journey. Enjoy the learnings and cherish the people you meet along the way. Sometimes, the problem is we focus on the blessing but not the blesser. We focus on the goal but disregarding the adventures we had while pursuing it.
Lastly, wait for the right one to come.
Why worry? When there are so many people who love you, you just need to reorient yourself.
